About Me

It’s a brave new technological world and there are many pioneers. I never considered myself a pioneer nor will I. I am an Information Technology professional by trade with 10 years experience in the field and currently am employed as the Desktop Systems Administrator for a large defense contractor. I grew up listening to classic rock and later got heavily into the grunge culture of the late 90′s. I picked up a guitar and taught myself how to play it. I played in a few bands over the years before I settled down and left my guitar largely unused.

However, by freak chance, I happened upon the electronic music scene when trying to master some guitar tracks. I learned the basics of audio production with Linux Multimedia Studio (LMMS) but moved on to Apple’s Logic Studio once I matured. I now call myself  DJ6i, a name I chose when I ran the now defunct HatchetRadio streaming internet audio station. At the time, I drove a Mazda 6 i-4 Sport and the name just stuck. However, upon taking time to look at my music. I also found that I used a bare minimum of 6 instruments in any given track I create so therein lies another interpretation.

Let it be known that although I am an artist, I am also a married family man with a wonderful wife and a great child. I have two IT degrees and am pursuing a Ministry degree in the Southern Baptist denomination. I am a recognized as a minister by the Southern Baptist Convention and thank God for the blessings I have each day.
